PROFILE: ASSOC. PROF SR DR FARIDAH ISMAIL

A registered Quantity Surveyor, and a member of Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) is currently served as the Head, Centre of Studies for Postgraduate. She had a background cumulative working experience of more than 20 years at two prominent and established organisations; Public Works Department (PWD) and Construction Industry Development Board, Malaysia (CIDB) respectively. Possessing a Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying, M.Sc in Construction Management spurs the spirit to be honored a PhD in Built Environment (Safety Culture).She is currently the External Examiner for BSc of Quantity Surveying (Honours) for Tunku Abdul Rahman University College from academic year 2013/2014.     

A regular presenter of the Conference and Exhibition on Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) Malaysia (2003-2007), the Asia Pacific International Conference on Environment - Behavioural Studies (AicE-Bs) and Asean Conference on Environment - Behavioural Studies (AcE-Bs) are also actively involved as member of  Scientific/Technical Committee, both locally and internationally. Currently teaching both the undergraduate and post-graduate students in the subjects of Construction Management, Strategic Management, and Construction Economics shows her research interest is not limited to safety culture and behavioural studies.

Appointed as a committee member for the development of various training modules, an Accredited Trainer for the Contractors’ Development Programme for CIDB also sits as member of the Board of Examination coordinated by Masters Builders Association of Malaysia.
