ABOUT

The minimum duration of study for full-time and part-time students is two and half years. The duration may be extended to a maximum of seven years.  Graduate on Time (GoT) certificate awarded to students for completion of doctoral programme within 5 years.

Mode : Full Time/Part Time
Duration : Min 2 ½ years (5 sem)
  : Max 7 years (14 sem)
Graduate on Time (GoT) : 5 years (10 sem)

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Normal Entry Requirements

A Master’s Degree in relevant field from UiTM or any institutions of Higher Learning recognised by the senate of UiTM, or

Other qualifications equivalent to a Master’s Degree in relevant field with relevant working experience in a related field.

The candidate is required to submit a research proposal in specific area of study together with documentation as stipulated in the application form by Institute of Graduate Studies (IGS) UiTM. This would enable the faculty to allocate suitable supervisor for the research. If necessary, candidate will be called for an interview session.

 

Fast-Track Entry Requirements (from Bachelor to PhD)

• A first class honours of Bachelor Degree or equivalent in related field from UiTM or;
• Achieved at least 3.67 of Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) or equivalent; from an academic programme or Technical programme and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) from any Higher Learning Institutions recognised by the Senate of UiTM; and
• Passed an interview session; and
• Passed a Research Proposal Presentation

The candidate is required to submit a research proposal in specific area of study together with documentation as stipulated in the application form by Institute of Graduate Studies (IGS) UiTM. An interview session and a presentation of research proposal will be conducted by the Faculty’s Postgraduate Centre.
