Background
CEDM was established in January 2008. It is one of the CoE under FSPU. It is headed by an academic of the faculty who reports to the Dean of FSPU. It is a multidisciplinary centre focusing on areas related to built environment design and management. The centre undertakes research, consultancy and training in the field of Town and Regional Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Interior Architecture.
Currently the centre is involved in research funded by public agencies in Malaysia. Its members are academicians on the related fields which stand at about 100 people. It seeks to form partnership to conduct research, consultancies, conference and training with institutions nationally and internationally.
